Regulatory Compliance

Prior to renovation, demolition, or maintenance activities, asbestos-containing materials (ACM) must be identified in accordance with:

  • US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA)

  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)

  • National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP)

  • Local Clean Air Agencies (e.g., Puget Sound Clean Air Agency)

Failure to identify ACM prior to disturbance may result in regulatory penalties, project delays, and environmental liability.
